Maximum Glass Size
The maximum glass size is determined by project specifications. Please consult our guidelines or contact us for detailed information.
Glass Size and Specifications Guidelines
- For toughened glass, the minimum size requirement is that at least one dimension must exceed 250mm. If both height and width are less than 250mm, the glass must be made as annealed or laminated.
- Any glass unit larger than 2.8m² should be manufactured with 6mm glass rather than 4mm. Units exceeding 1600mm in either dimension or 3.50m² are considered non-standard, which may result in longer lead times and higher prices—please verify these details before placing an order.
- The largest standard pane width available is 3210mm. For sizes exceeding this, availability and cost may vary. Laminated glass units larger than 3.5m² might require an increase in thickness from 6.4mm, depending on the size and intended use of the product.
- Pattern stock sheets are typically 1320x2140mm, with the exception of Satin Glass, which measures 3210x2250mm.
- To calculate the weight of glass, use the formula: Width x Height x Thickness (e.g., 2 panes of 4mm would total 8) x 2.5, which gives the weight in kilograms.
- Please use this information as a general guide and confirm exact glazing sizes and specifications according to the criteria provided.
